    • How to Lead After a Layoff
  • Books on Leadership

There are lots of business leadership books out there. These are the ones I think are the best.
    • Positive Leadership: Strategies for Extraordinary Performance
By Kim Cameron. Research-based approach to leading positively.
    • Executive Charisma
By D.A. Benton. A great guide to developing executive presence.
    • Bargaining for Advantage
By G. Richard Shell. Best book available on negotiationing, from the director of the Wharton Executive Negotiation Workshop
    • Positivity
By Barbara Fredrickson, Ph.D. Gives a clear explanation of how to achieve a more positive state of mind, for yourself or within your organization. Entire book is based on groundbreaking research into positive emotions.
    • The Art of Possibility
By Rosamund & Benjamin Zander. Fascinating book on leadership by the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and his wife, a family therapist.
    • Outliers
By Malcolm Gladwell. Excellent description of the conditions necessary for extraordinary success. If you haven't already, read this. Gladwell's earlier bestsellers, The Tipping Point and Blink, are also extremely worthwhile.
    • What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful
By Marshall Goldsmith. Excellent advice from one of the top executive coaches in the U.S.
